When it’s a sellers market, buyers battle it out across the nation over a limited selection of reasonably priced homes. Sellers have the ball in their court as there are more buyers than sellers. This means seller-friendly trend like rising home prices and quick-selling homes. In a sellers market, properties for sale plummets at the same time that demand for housing skyrockets. The following are tips for selling your home in a sellers market…

Make Your Home Move-in Ready

  • Host a pre-listing party. Invite your trusted friends for a second opinion
  • Consult with a great agent.
  • Run your friends’ opinions by an expert
  • De-clutter your home
  • Clean out the garage.
  • Think neutral for colors.
  • Landscaping and painting are two upgrades recommended
  • Make those floors look spiffy.

Sellers would also be smart to highlight features in their home that appeal to a buyer. Things like more space, privacy, home office, and or great outdoor areas.

Make Sure To Have a Virtual Tour

When deciding on an agent to sell your house, this is going to be an important factor for the buyer, as not only does the addition of virtual tours lead to more qualified viewings of your property, but these tours also increase the likelihood of a quicker sale. Due to increased interest from buyers. Many younger buyers will use the 3D tours to figure out which homes to walk-through and skip open houses and such. This approach is also good for sellers since it helps minimize the number of folks touring their home.

Do Not Accept an Offer Too Quickly

Select a real estate agent that has a strategy to handle multiple offers. Sellers have 24 to 48 hours to accept an offer. If you act to quickly you could be leaving money on the table. Take time to mull over each offer you receive. If the offer is too low, you can always counter offer closer to the asking price.
