Before and After – A Cluttered Home (click to view larger)

Is it better that that the home you are trying to sell is vacant or lived-in? There really is no better way to sell your home. There are advantages to both living in and not living in your home when you sell it. Homes can feel cold when they aren’t filled with furniture and belongings. It makes it hard for a potential buyer to image themselves in the home. Then again, a messy or unorganized home can be a turn off also. If your home has a room or rooms that are long or narrow it helps buyers to see how you have your furniture situated.

It’s a Little Like Goldilocks? Not Too Cluttered and Not Too Sparse is Just Right!

If you have too much furniture or belongings, make sure to declutter and put those extra things in storage while you sell your home. It’s best to have a fresh and warm feel to you home that is also organized and without clutter. Also, remove anything that is just too personal for buyers to see. It could effect their decision to live there.
